Winter Wedding

We love Colorado winter weddings! The rustic elegance of Twin Owls Steakhouse makes for the loveliest of wedding receptions. Jonathan and Amanda had their wedding on a snowy and very windy January day. We were thrilled to celebrate with this lovely couple!

How lovely are these details?!

We love working so closely with the Black Canyon Inn on many of our weddings. Their property is breathtaking!

Some words from the bride…

How you meet your husband?

We met in high school and then again at a Presidents’ Day party.

How did you get engaged?

He made me lasagna and we had a nice romantic dinner. I had my pajamas on and lasagna all over my shirt and he asked me to Kurt vile’s “Baby’s Arms.”  He’s always so romantic so I had no idea he was going to ask me and the first thing I said was “I can’t believe you let me put my comfys on!” Haha.

Did you enjoy wedding planning? Why or why not? Fave parts?

I enjoyed wedding planning because my sister is an amazing wedding photographer and helped with all the details and coordinating (all while she was 38 weeks pregnant). I really enjoyed finding our wedding venue and the food/cake tasting. YUM!

What brought you to Estes Park?

My family had a cabin in Estes Park and we would go there a lot!

What made you pick Black Canyon Inn and Twin Owls Steakhouse?

We picked twin owls and black canyon because of the view and the intimate steakhouse. Everyone was so friendly and it had such a great energy! The food at Twin Owls is amazing which was one of the main reasons we picked them. We knew we would be well taken care of and everything would go smoothly because of how friendly and helpful everyone was. I could tell they were just as invested in our big day as we were.

Favorite memory of your wedding day?

My favorite memory was the freezing cold ceremony! Also, the dancing and being able to mingle with everyone in the beautiful steakhouse. It was so cozy and warm.
